Incredible $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Represents a Online Gaming Game Master's Fantasy

Following a short availability back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time available until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by ProFantasy Software over the years, the complete package is valued at over $1,300. And there are multiple package options offered in this deal.

Primary Feature

The big draw is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program that can be used to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.

A regional fantasy map created using Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars offers enhanced value through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from the company's ongoing subscription program featuring multiple CC3+ enhancements including map packs and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Full Package

Starting at thirty dollars, the 39-item bundle contains these components:

  • Advanced Terrain Generator
  • Dungeon Creation Tool
  • City Designer 3
  • Cosmographer 3
  • Perspectives 3
  • Scene Builder
  • Character Artist 3
  • Fantasy Interior Symbols
  • Symbol Set 3: Modern

  • Symbol Set 5: Cities of Schley
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 2
  • Religious Structure Maps
  • Historical War Maps
  • World Builder’s Compendium

  • 3D City Symbols
  • Tome of Ultimate Mapping
  • Fantasy Landscape Symbols
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 1
  • Source Maps: Castles!
  • Source Maps: Cities!

All 17 volumes from the Annual series come with this bundle, plus numerous other resource and asset packs enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, dungeons, cities, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character illustrations. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously more advantageous for cartography beginners considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The sole limitation is that while you can redeem the deal across platforms, the applications only function with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. For this one, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. The Bundle Filters option appear near the page top, but you can also select any amount for a donation in the right-hand section. Additionally available is an "Adjust Donation" drop-down just below that, enabling adjustment of how much of your donation allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
